Costume Contest Photos!

The WestUnionFest 125 Costume Contest provided color and excitement for the streets of West Union during the Festival.

West Union, WV - The Town of West Union will be having a costume contest at the West Union Fest 125.  July 22, 2006 on Main Street at the Senior Center.  Top Shelf Entertainment will officiate.

Best Victorian Costume at the Festival Contest - 2:00 PM on Main Street

Costumes should reflect the styles of the turn of the Century (around 1900)

'Costume' is the key word - historical accuracy is not as important as the overall look.  (Allowances will definitely be made for the heat <G> Short sleeves are acceptable.)

We are all familiar with this lady   

Annie Oakley 1860 - 1925- but remember - this was also the time of Annie Oakley, the Great Train Robbery,  from the Great Train Robbery.  Doc Holliday Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp Wyatt Earp (don't forget the mustaches  <G>) 

West Union had farmers and oil barons, bankers, shopkeepers, and teachers...


The Mayor and Town Council have authorized a $100.00 Savings Bond for First Prize.   Social Security Number must be provided for the awarding of the prize.
