HAVE YOU EVER WANTED TO BE WYATT EARP OR ANNIE OAKLEY??

WELL ON JULY 26, 2008 YOU CAN!!

Use your imagination, and get that costume ready!! We are having OUR ANNUAL VICTORIAN COSTUME COMPETITION at the  WEST UNION FEST 127!!!!!
  • Costumes should reflect the styles of the turn of the Century (around 1900).
  • 'Costume' is the key word - historical accuracy is not as important as the overall look.
  • Allowances will be made for the heat, so short-sleeves are acceptable. 

ALL PERIOD COSTUMES QUALIFY.

Best Victorian Costume Contest - 5:00 PM on Main Street. 

Costumes should reflect the styles of the turn of the Century (around 1900)

'Costume' is the key word - historical accuracy is not as important as the overall look.  (Allowances will definitely be made for the heat <G> Short sleeves are acceptable.)

We are all familiar with this lady   

Annie Oakley 1860 - 1925- but remember - this was also the time of Annie Oakley, the Great Train Robbery,  from the Great Train Robbery.  Doc Holliday Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp Wyatt Earp

(gentlemen - do not leave home without your mustaches  <G>) 

West Union had farmers and oil barons, bankers, shopkeepers, and teachers...  All period costumes qualify!
