Hi Les,
We had a terrific time at our October 2004 reunion, but it is difficult
to pick a time and a place that works for our scattered Dotson clan.
As you can see from our map, we stretch to all 4 'corners' of the USA.
Walt was an anchor and really worked hard to put the 2004 reunion
together, but I haven't heard him volunteering for any more?
Although I have no family left in West Virginia, I love to go there to
enjoy the scenery and do research. Tom and I have a week planned in WV
from July 15th to July 22nd. We will be staying that whole week at the
Hampton Inn in Clarksburg/Bridgeport with side trips around the area.
We've even planned a trip on the Tygert Flyer (railroad scenic trip out
of Elkins).
The City of West Union (county seat of Doddridge County) is having a
125th birthday celebration on July 22nd which I am looking forward to
attending and hoping to see some other folks there.
If any of you are planning West Virginia trips this summer, you might
want to put that on your calendar.
